THE FLY TRAIL
A walk-through site installation created for Ragged Wing Ensemble's fall festival, Inanna's Descent, 2011.
In the ancient Sumerian story of Inanna's Descent, there is the character of The Fly who travels to the underworld to find Inanna's body. In this immersive installation, The Fly Trail sends the audience through the woods traveling as 'flies' encountering many small installations along the way. Each installation investigates life and death as an act of filling and emptying. Participants were invited to open and fill various empty vessels.
